Session aims
The aim of this course is to direct participants towards the latest guidance on infection control and decontamination, so they are able to apply current guidance in the practice setting.

Update the dental team in current guidance
Enable the dental team to apply current guidance in a practice setting
To direct the dental team towards the latest guidance on infection control and decontamination.
Learning outcomes
Identify reasons why infection control is important in the dental practice
Discuss the difficulties in the application of standard infection control precautions and identify methods to address these.
Explain the recent changes in decontamination and infection control.
