Inhalation sedation – a brief update for experienced sedation teams

Speaker: Richard Charon

Date: April 24, 2020

Time: 15:30‐16:30

Room: Speaker room 2

Session aims

To provide 1 hour of eCPD towards the 12 hours required every 5 years for those involved in the provision of an inhalation sedation service. Prior and current experience in the technique is required to gain from this session.

Session objectives

I will share some of the latest developments and possible future trends in inhalation sedation provision and provide a Q&A session to engage with like-minded colleagues and ensure GDC quality assurance applies to this session.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the one-hour session, participants would be able to demonstrate that they are aware of the latest guidelines relevant to Inhalation sedation, developments in equipment and have considered some of the environmental impacts of concern.

There will be an opportunity to provide feedback for this session.

eCPD development outcomes

  • C – Maintenance and development of knowledge and skill within your field of practice.
  • D – Maintenance of skills, behaviours and attitudes which maintain patient confidence in you and the dental profession and put patients’ interests first.

Our new booking system includes lecture sessions to allow you to create a personalised Scottish Dental Show timetable, however lecture session entry (speaker rooms 1-4) is on a first-come-first-served basis and cannot be guaranteed.
