Founded in 1940, the British Association of Dental Nurses (BADN), the UK’s professional association for dental nurses, celebrates 80 years of supporting dental nurses this year!
Membership is open to all dental nurses, working in all areas of dentistry. Full Membership is open to all Registered Dental Nurses and costs £50 pa (special rates for part time workers). Student Associate e-membership is open to all student dental nurses and costs £10pa. Associate membership is available to former, retired and overseas dental nurses. Members have access to the BADN indemnity scheme, at special member rates (Full Members only), the quarterly digital British Dental Nurses’ Journal (with up to 8 hours CPD per year), the Legal Helpline for free initial legal advice, the counselling and support helpline, the members’ only area of the BADN website www.badn.org.uk, and BADN Rewards – a wide range of special offers and discounts offering members special rates on home/car/travel/life insurance, holidays and travel, eating out, cinema visits and family days out, gym membership, motoring (servicing, breakdown cover, etc) and shopping.
The National Dental Nursing Conference 2020 will be held as part of the Dentistry Show at the NEC on 15-16 May; a Celebratory Afternoon Tea will be held at the NEC Hilton on Saturday 16 May – details on the BADN website.
